Vacation leave accrual information

Submitted by Human Capital Services

The paycheck received for pay period ending Sept. 17 — dated Sept. 30 — will be the third paycheck in the month of September. Employees will not accrue vacation leave during this pay period. Sick leave accrues as normal. The other three pay periods in fiscal year 2023 with no vacation accrual are:

  • Pay period ending March 18, 2023 — paid March 31, 2023.
  • Pay period ending May 27, 2023 — paid June 9, 2023.
  • Pay period ending June 10, 2023 — paid June 23, 2023.

Employees who accrue vacation leave earn 22 out of the 26 pay periods in the fiscal year for a total of 176 hours for full-time employees. Each fiscal year, there are four pay periods where there is no vacation leave accrual, with pay period ending Sept. 17 being the first in fiscal year 2023.
