Call for proposals for K-State Women in Business Career Summit
Faculty and staff are invited to submit breakout session proposals for the second Kansas State University Women in Business Career Summit.
This year's summit will be Monday, Nov. 7, at the K-State Student Union. K-State alumna Natacha Buchanan, chief diversity officer at ConocoPhillips, will give the keynote address. The summit will also feature K-State alumna Danielle Calhoun, vice president of inclusive practices at Weber Shandwick. In addition to the keynote speakers, the event will offer breakout sessions and networking opportunities for high school students, college students and working professionals.
We invite proposals for a wide variety of engaging sessions that focus on advancing women at various points in their academic and professional careers. The K-State Women in Business Initiative, hosted by the Center for Principled Business at the College of Business, fosters a network of innovation and collaboration through academic and co-curricular learning opportunities, scholarship support and business research related to the broader goals of the initiative.
The Women in Business Initiative works to educate, empower and engage future and current business leaders, to create social and economic impact and enhance societal prosperity.
Proposals should be submitted by Friday, Sept. 30, for best consideration. For more information and to access the breakout session form, please visit cba.ksu.edu/wib or email womeninbusiness@k-state.edu.
