Submitted by Jerry Jay Cranford
Today, Wednesday, Oct. 26, the K-State Theatre Organization, a registered departmental student organization, and K-State Theatre welcome 200 area high school students for a day of learning and a matinee performance of the musical "Head Over Heels."
Students will be able to select three workshops out of nearly 30 theatre-based workshops offered on subjects including puppetry, improvisation, scenic design, scenic construction, Shakespeare, vocal expression, Laban movement and musical theatre. Workshops are taught by theatre faculty, drama therapy graduate students and theatre students under faculty supervision. The entire day is hosted by the K-State Theatre Organization under Jayden Gittle, president, and Kathy Voecks, faculty advisor and professor. The organization is open to any K-State student in any department who loves theatre.
