Security studies doctoral student publishes interagency study
Security studies doctoral student Patricia Blocksome has published an interagency study through the Simons Center at Fort Leavenworth.
Her work, titled "Internal Security Forces: Their Capability, Legitimacy and Effect on Internal Violence," looks at the ways in which a government's internal security forces can either promote or hinder the settlement of political conflicts. Blocksome produced the study during an internship at the Simons Center, which focuses on questions of interagency and intergovernmental cooperation. Blocksome's paper is available for download at thesimonscenter.org/ias-002-april-2013/.
