Kansas Board of Regents January meeting agenda items
Submitted by Communictions and Parking
The Kansas Board of Regents will meet Jan. 18 and 19 at the Curtis State Office Building in Topeka. A livestream will be available for individuals to listen remotely.
The Regents will consider the following agenda items related to Kansas State University.
Consent agenda
The Regents will act on performance reports for the 2021 academic year. Institutions negotiate new performance agreements with the board on a three-year cycle. To be eligible for any new funding appropriated, each institution must submit an annual report updating the Regents on its progress toward meeting each performance agreement indicator. K-State qualifies for 100% of any new funding for which it is eligible because the university maintained the baseline or improved from the baseline in at least four indicators.
K-State requests approval to enter into a 10-year lease with the KSU Foundation for space to house Cats' Cupboard, the university's food pantry for students and employees. The 9,500-square-foot building at 1021 Denison Ave. will provide a more prominent and accessible location for Cats' Cupboard. The lease will be financed with philanthropic funds.
Discussion agenda
The Regents will act on K-State's request to offer a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in criminology.
