Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification offered in 2023

Kansas State University is offering an opportunity in 2023 to complete the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Black Belt focuses on the mastery of Lean Six Sigma theory, strategies, and advanced tools and techniques through in-depth application and analysis. The course will enhance the professional expertise needed to implement and lead complex projects and provide the skills necessary to teach and mentor others.
The course format includes six in-person training sessions on the Manhattan campus, online homework assignments and quizzes, and completion of a project. In-person sessions are scheduled for the following dates in 2023:
- Feb. 16-17.
- March 2-3.
- March 16-17.
The Black Belt certification training will be led by Doug Von Feldt, who brings more than 20 years of experience leading projects and change initiatives in organizations and industries. A certified Master Black Belt, he has spoken at conferences in the areas of Lean Six Sigma, organization design, entrepreneurship, innovation and project management. Von Feldt also leads K-State's Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt certification trainings.
Lean Six Sigma is a business management system that allows organizations of all types to drastically improve their bottom line by creating, measuring and monitoring everyday business activities that lead to reduced waste, fewer mistakes and increased customer satisfaction.
