Celebrating K-State MANRRS Week

Submitted by Zelia Wiley

Happy K-State MANRRS Week! Join the K-State Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences, or MANRRS, chapter through a variety of activities.

K-State MANRRS will be partnering with the Popenoe Entomology Club on Feb. 20-28 for a Cat’s Cupboard food drive. Please drop off canned goods, hygiene products and non-perishable foods at 132 or 139 Waters Hall.

Stop by the Coffee Hour with K-State MANRRS and Hill's Pet Nutrition from 8-10 a.m. today, Feb. 20, in the Waters Hall lobby. Come talk to a MANRRS member or Hill’s Pet Nutrition employee and enjoy a free cup of coffee and donuts.

Come see MANRRS in the Union for their Membership Awareness Drive from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Join K-State MANRRS in honoring Mary Ellen Barkley and Andrew Barkley as recipients of the 2023 Wallace Kidd Diversity Award on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The award reception will start at 5:30 p.m. in 204 and 205 Morris Family Multicultural Student Center. Thank you to Scoular for sponsoring the refreshments for this event. Learn more here.

K-State MANRRS will host a night of bowling and fun from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the K-State Student Union bowling alley. RSVP at https://bit.ly/MANRRSbowling.

Finish the week with K-State MANRRS by liking and following their social media pages to help raise awareness for upcoming events, recognitions and diversity and inclusion efforts at K-State.

These events are open to all. Thank you for supporting the Spring 2023 K-State MANRRS Week, and thank you to Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Scoular for sponsoring the week’s events. For questions, please contact Zelia Wiley, zwiley@ksu.edu or 785-532-5793.
