WellCAT toolkit for well-being: A new resource for faculty and staff
The Morrison Family Center for Student Well-Being has launched a new toolkit to help faculty and staff support students who are experiencing social/emotional challenges.
The toolkit brings together multiple campus resources in an easy-to-use, all-in-one-place guide. It can be used to better assist students in one-on-one meetings and guide them to appropriate resources based on a continuum of needs — from self-guided resiliency resources to clinical resources to crisis resources.
The toolkit currently has four sections, with the potential to add more in the future. The sections include:
- Welcome Letter/Overview.
- Helping Students in Distress.
- Quick Help Flow Chart, with active links to key resources.
- Wildcat Reset — coming soon — a series designed to help faculty introduce micro-strategies to students that can help reset their minds and advance their well-being.
The Canvas Course Toolkit will allow for quick and up-to-date access to resources for helping students. New material will be announced to users and be made available based on input and needs expressed by faculty and staff.
