K-State pianist tours Europe in spring 2013

Slawomir Dobrzanski, associate professor of piano performance in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, performed solo recitals at two important classical music festivals across Europe.
His first concert on April 18 took place at the Teatro San Marco in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, World Heritage city of Vicenza, Italy, as part of the Incontri Sulla Tastiera festival. The second performance on April 20 took place at the City Museum in Bitola, Macedonia, as part of the 22nd International Interfest Bitola classical music festival.
Dobrzanski performed works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Clara Wieck-Schumann, Louis Moreau Gottschalk and Fryderyk Chopin.
In preparation for his European tour, Dobrzanski also gave solo concerts at the Chicago Chopin Society in March, at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich. in April, and at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. also in April.
