Records management resources and committee available to help faculty and staff
K-State faculty and staff seeking information about how to manage records are encouraged to visit the university records management website. The website is a great first stop for any K-State employee seeking more information about improving record-keeping practices or guidance on how long different types of records should be kept.
Topics that the website covers include:
- Key records management concepts.
- University retention schedules.
- Records management training sessions.
K-State's Records and Information Management Committee develops, reviews, promotes and interprets university records and information management, as well as technology policies and procedures for the university community. The committee also reviews and recommends records retention schedules for approval by the State Records Board and reviews this policy on an annual basis.
More information on the University Records Management Committee can be found in section 3090 of the K-State Policy and Procedure Manual.
