Medal of Honor recipient speaks with Army ROTC cadets
The Wildcat Battalion hosted living Medal of Honor recipient, Staff Sgt. Clint Romesha, on April 11.
Romesha received the Medal of Honor for his actions on Oct. 3, 2009, while defending Combat Outpost Keating in Afghanistan from more than 300 Taliban fighters in what was later named the Battle of Kamdesh.
Romesha spent more than three hours speaking with K-State Army cadets about leadership, service, sense of purpose, camaraderie and sacrifice as they prepare to assume leadership positions in the active Army, National Guard and Army Reserves upon graduating.
This opportunity was arranged through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Hiring our Heroes program.
