Reception to honor Kimberly Kirkpatrick's service to K-State
A come-and-go reception honoring Kimberly Kirkpatrick's service to K-State will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, in the Great Room of the K-State Alumni Center.
After more than 15 years of service to K-State, Kirkpatrick has accepted a new position as an associate vice president for research specializing in research infrastructure at the University of Minnesota. Throughout her time at K-State, Kirkpatrick has made many contributions to the teaching and educational missions of the university through her position in the department of psychological sciences. Along with a team of scientists, she founded and served as Director of the Cognitive and Neurobiological Approaches to Plasticity, or CNAP Center, a Center of Biomedical Research Excellence funded by the National Institutes of Health. She was named a university distinguished professor in 2019 and served as president of the university distinguished professors from 2022-2023. She has mentored many faculty, staff and students during her time at K-State, and her impact will be felt at the university for many years to come.
Let's all gather to celebrate Kirkpatrick’s many accomplishments here at K-State and wish her well in her next endeavor.
