Ready, set, sing: Participate in Flint Hills Vocal Academy this June

Submitted by School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

Get singing this summer! High school and middle school singers in grades 6-12 who read music are invited to participate in the Flint Hills Vocal Academy in June.

As part of the Community School of the Performing Arts, the vocal academy includes private and group lessons, masterclasses in musical theatre, vocology and movement for singers. The program culminates in a final showcase performance.

The Flint Hills Vocal Academy is co-directed by Amy Rosine, associate professor of voice, and Cheryl Richt, instructor of voice. The program will be joined by Jesus DeHoyos, instructor of voice; Jay Cranford, associate professor of theatre; Heather McCornack, who specializes in movement for singers; and Cheryl Savage, pianist for the choral department at Manhattan High School.
