Reminder: Office of First-generation Students to host graduation celebration May 12
The Office of First-generation Students, along with several campus partners, will celebrate this year's first-generation spring and summer graduates. First-generation graduates, their families and the K-State community are invited to a graduation celebration from 7-8 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union.
The office recognizes the importance of celebrating its students' accomplishments and the significance of this milestone for students, their families and support systems. The graduates in attendance will receive a green cord, symbolizing their resilience, to wear to commencement as well as other small tokens of congratulatory sentiment.
