Tracz Family Band Hall open house rescheduled
Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing
The open house for the Kansas State University Tracz Family Band Hall has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 29. The open house is a come-and-go event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The hall is in the northwest wing of K-State's World War I Memorial Stadium. The renovated space features a rehearsal hall, instrument and uniform storage, instrument repair room, changing room and office space. The hall is also the home of the Classy Cats. The improvements were funded through private donations.
"This facility utilizes every available inch of space to benefit our program and students," said Frank Tracz, professor of music and director of K-State Bands. "It is great for the band program to have this new, convenient and accessible space to call home — it's just wonderful."
The band hall is located at 704 N. Denison Ave. Parking is available in lot D1.
This project became a reality thanks to countless donors and community supporters who recognized the need to designate a home for the Pride of Wildcat Land.
