Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory to feature rabies expert at free seminar
The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory will host Charles E. Rupprecht for a free seminar at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, in the Mara Conference Center on the fourth floor of Trotter Hall.
Rupprecht is a highly knowledgeable world expert on rabies and its control in wildlife as well as domestic animals. He is an adjunct professor at Auburn University and the director of LYSSA LLC.
The title of his presentation will be "Opportunities and Challenges for Rabies Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment in the USA."
This seminar will also be available online via Zoom.
Rupprecht earned his master's degree in zoology/animal biology and doctorate in biological sciences, both from the University of Wisconsin, and his Veterinary Medical Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania.
