Movies on the Grass series continues Sept. 17
Movies on the Grass is a free event for the K-State and the Manhattan community. Movies on the Grass highlights the annual K-State common read and brings light to social justice issues impacting the world today. A different film will be shown each Sunday through Oct. 1. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
There will be speakers at 7 p.m., and the films will start at 7:30 p.m.
On Sept. 17, come watch "Betrayed: Surviving an American Concentration Camp." The event will take place at Bosco Student Plaza.
According to PBS.org, "Discover the story of a group of Japanese Americans and their incarceration by the U.S. government during World War II. Through the compelling voice of survivors of Minidoka, a concentration camp in the Idaho desert, 'Betrayed' tells a universal story about unjust incarceration and the loss of civil rights."
