K-State to offer Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification courses in 2024
Submitted by Debbie Hagenmaier
Kansas State University is offering three opportunities in 2024 to complete Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification training, either online or on the Manhattan campus.
An online Yellow Belt course is scheduled for Jan. 11-12, 2024, while in-person trainings will be offered on campus May 13-14, 2024, and Aug. 15-16, 2024.
Lean Six Sigma is a business management system that allows organizations of all types to drastically improve their bottom lines by creating, measuring and monitoring everyday business activities that lead to reduced waste, fewer mistakes and increased customer satisfaction.
"We've offered the Yellow Belt to faculty and staff at K-State, as well as industry professionals with great success," said Daniel Minick, instructor of operations management in the College of Business Administration. "We've also had students complete the program and include the certification on their resumes, which in many cases became the deciding factor in getting a job offer."
