Celebrate K-State International Education Week Nov. 8-17

The Office of International Programs has partnered with colleges, units and student organizations to establish K-State International Education Week 2023, Nov. 8-17, to promote programs that prepare future leaders for a global and inclusive environment.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. This is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
International Education Week is traditionally hosted the first full week after Nov. 11, however, K-State expanded the week to be inclusive of the many campus events. Campuswide collaboration enables cross-promotion, increased awareness and creates a more engaging events.
"This week provides a great opportunity for our university community to learn, absorb and support the international initiatives that make our campus a rich and diverse global arena," said Grant Chapman, associate provost for international programs. "We hope that all will take advantage and participate."
Campus partnerships include: Hale Library, the English Language Program, the Beach Museum of Art, International Student and Scholar Services, International Coordinating Council, Department of Modern Languages, College of Business Administration Cross-Cultural International Program, Education Abroad, Fulbright Scholar Program and more.
The Office of International Programs uses K-State International Education Week to announce and feature the following:
- International Educator of the Year Award.
- Outstanding Support for International Initiatives Award.
- International Innovative Education Program of the Year Award.
- International Collaboration Incentive Grant.
- Vernon Larson Lecture Series.
