Porath and Han present at Midwest Educational Research Association annual conference
Suzanne Porath, associate professor, and Chen Han, doctoral candidate, both in the curriculum and instruction department in the College of Education, presented at the Midwest Educational Research Association's annual conference on Oct. 18-20 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Porath's research-in-progress presentation was titled "The Moment I Knew: Preservice Teachers Identification of When They Knew They Wanted to be a Teacher." Han's research-in-progress presentation was titled "Integrating and Combining Grammar–Translation Teaching Methods with Biography-Driven Instruction: A Case Study" and was developed from her dissertation study.
The Midwest Educational Research Association is a regional affiliate of the American Education Research Association and brings together various entities in the field of education, such as teachers and administrators from K-12, higher education faculty from all disciplines, graduate students and community organizations to discuss and reflect upon the theme "Supporting Teachers through Educational Research."
