K-State Band program to present November concerts

The K-State Band program will present its final fall semester concerts in McCain Auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 28, and Wednesday, Nov. 29. Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free to the public.
On Nov. 28, the Concert Band and Wind Symphony will perform. The Concert Band will begin by performing works by Julie Giroux, Claude T. Smith, Steven Pyter and Frank Ticheli. The Concert Band will be conducted by Zack Deininger, assistant director of bands, and will feature guest conductor Ben Rajewski, master's graduate student.
The Wind Symphony will follow by performing works by Malcolm Arnold, Julie Giroux, Ralph Vaughan Williams and John Williams. The Wind Symphony is under the direction of Alex Wimmer, associate director of bands, and will feature guest conductor Rich Ebersole, master's graduate student.
On Nov. 29, the Wind Ensemble will perform works by Steve Danyew, Peter Mennin, David Maslanka, Wayne Oquin and William Walton. The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Frank Tracz, director of bands, and will feature guest conductor Sharyn Worcester, doctoral student.
