Kansas Board of Regents December meeting university updates

The Kansas Board of Regents meeting on Dec. 13 included several items related to K-State. For more information about these items, see the December meeting agenda PDF or view the recorded meeting on YouTube.
The Board Governance Committee reviewed proposed revisions to the board's policy on non-reappointment of university employees other than tenured and tenure-track faculty. A final version for the committee to consider will be available in January.
Consent agenda
K-State's Juergen Richt will continue to serve as a regents distinguished professor.
The board approved K-State's request to amend the fiscal year 2024 capital improvement project plan and to accept the program statement for renovations to Willard Hall, King Hall and the Chemistry/Biochemistry Building.
K-State received authorization to execute a ground lease with the Salina Airport Authority for development of the Kansas Advanced Immersive Research for Emerging Systems Center.
Discussion agenda
The Regents approved housing and food service rates for the 2024-2025 academic year, which are effective July 1, 2024.
The Regents approved the allocation of fiscal year 2025 Educational Building Funds. K-State's recommended allocation for fiscal year 2025 is $18,537,000.
