Apply for new Graduate Cancer Research Scholarship and Support Award up to $75,000
The Johnson Cancer Research Center introduces the Graduate Cancer Research Scholarship and Support Award.
Generously initiated by an anonymous donor, the scholarship offers $25,000 to $75,000 to Kansas-born graduate students with the amount contingent upon the number of qualified applicants, available funding and individual educational expenses. The award aims to significantly bolster the pursuit of cancer research by one or two students who graduated from Kansas high schools. The award provides substantial financial support for tuition, reasonable living stipends and educational expenses.
Applications are now open, and the deadline is Feb. 16.
The award is a testament to the center's commitment to cultivating the next generation of cancer researchers. Designed to empower graduate students, this competitive award targets students dedicated to a professional career in cancer research. Eligible students must be actively engaged in cancer-related projects within Johnson Cancer Research Center member laboratories, with a focus on areas such as prevention, treatment, medication and other aspects contributing to the battle against cancer.
