Nominations open for Ice-Barrett Champions Awards and Friends of Cats' Cupboard Awards
The 2023-2024 Ice-Barrett Champions Awards and Friends of Cats' Cupboard Awards nominations are now open. Students, faculty, staff and community members can make nominations. Individuals may nominate others or provide a self-nomination.
The Campus Ice-Barrett Champion Award will be given to a current K-State student, faculty, or staff member; the Community Ice-Barrett Champion Award to an individual with no current work or academic affiliation with K-State and may include but is not limited to volunteers, community members, alumni and family of students. The Individual and Group/Organization Friends of Cats' Cupboard Awards are presented to one individual and one group/organization.
Awards are intended to honor K-State affiliated and local community members who have "championed the mission" of Cats' Cupboard. The mission of Cats' Cupboard is: Providing K-Staters with access to nutritious, culturally appropriate food and support through initiatives that promote health, success, well-being and a food-secure future.
Award recipients exemplify one or a combination of the following attributes:
- Time: Volunteering time, exemplary length of service, crossing milestones and demonstrating consistent support.
- Talent: Excellence in performance, communication, leadership, event planning and knowledge expertise.
- Treasure: Providing major gifts, identifying corporate gifts, writing grants or making in-kind donations.
Submit your nominations for Ice-Barrett Champions Awards and Friends of Cats' Cupboard Awards by March 15.
