Submitted by Jason Barrett-Fox
K-State Salina's Center for Communicating Innovation Lecture Series invites you to its first event featuring Kristen Moore, who is associate dean of equity and inclusion in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at SUNY Buffalo.
Moore will present "Equity and Inclusion on the Moon: or, What NASA Teaches us about Engineering Justice" at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, on Zoom.
Just recently, Moore has won the NCTE Best Book Award for "Technical Communication after the Social Justice Turn: Building Coalitions for Action" Routledge, 2021, as well as best article awards from NCTE, IEEE Transactions of Scientific and Technical Communication, and Technical Communication Quarterly.
Moore is also the co-author of "Posthuman Praxis in Technical Communication" and numerous peer-reviewed articles and chapters.
"Moore is without a doubt one of the most important and exciting thinkers doing work on the ethics of technical communication in the country, and it is a great honor to bring her to K-State," said Jason Barrett-Fox, director of the Center for Communicating Innovation.
Both faculty and students are invited to attend this function.
