Geoscience Career Ambassador Training workshop offers opportunity for professional development
Are you a teacher or mentor of students in STEM? Would you like to incorporate geoscience into your curricula and activities? Geology is all around us and can be used as a practical, real-world way of explaining principles in all sciences — chemistry, physics, biology and even math.
The GeoCAT workshop will be June 3-7 in a hybrid mode with three days of virtual meetings and activities and two days of in-person activities on the Manhattan campus. View the PDF schedule of planned activities.
The GeoCAT workshop is supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant ICER-1911590 GP-IMPACT: GeoCAT Workshop: Geoscience Careers Ambassador Training Workshop. A maximum of 30 participants will receive reimbursement of all travel and lodging expenses, a professional development certificate and a stipend of $750 upon successful completion of the program.
Apply online by May 31. For more information, please contact geocat@k-state.edu.
