Hagenmaier to retire from Global Campus on May 25
Debbie Hagenmaier, interim director of the program development and management unit at K-State Global Campus, will retire on May 25 after 23 years of service to the university.
Throughout her career, Hagenmaier has provided pivotal support and leadership in program development and continuing education for working professionals, students and staff. She joined Global Campus — then the Division of Continuing Education — in 2001 as a program assistant for distance education programs and conferences for the College of Education. Two years later, she was promoted to program coordinator, where she provided conference coordination for the College of Agriculture and K-State Research and Extension. In 2012, she was promoted again to assistant director of conferences and noncredit programs. In her current position as interim director of program development and management, she has led her team in building a universitywide strategic portfolio of market-driven credit and noncredit learning opportunities, including online course development grants and K-State microcredentials.
Hagenmaier graduated from the Leadership Manhattan program in 2011 and the Coffman Leadership Institute in 2016. She has also held key leadership positions in the University Professional and Continuing Education Association Central Region and received the John L. Christopher Outstanding Leadership Award in 2014.
A virtual retirement card is available to extend best wishes to Hagenmaier in her retirement.
