Submitted by Human Resources - Learning and Development

Fostering Community and Culture of Belonging in the Workplace will be offered Friday, June 14th, from 8 a.m. to noon in the K-State Alumni Center Purple Pride Conference Room.

In this interactive and informative session, supervisors will engage in a community healing hub and explore practices to develop a culture of belonging.

As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Experience appreciation, affirmation, belongingness and consciousness change that deepen human connections with others.

  • Increase capacity for perspective-taking, perspective-giving, self-compassion and empathy.

  • Form new perceptions and mental frames about people with different identities and backgrounds.

  • Explore team members’ roles and responsibilities for creating a culture of community and belonging.

You must be a current supervisor of university support staff or unclassified professionals to attend this session. This session is offered in conjunction with the K-State Supervisory Foundations Pillar I: Establishing Your Supervisory Foundation certificate program, and seating is limited.
