Office of General Counsel shares staffing updates
The Office of General Counsel announces the following recent personnel and staffing changes.
John Malabanan has been hired as the executive assistant for the Office of General Counsel. Malabanan joined the Office of General Counsel in April 2024. He previously worked at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, where he performed various clinical and administrative roles throughout his career, with more than 10 years of health care experience.
Jeff Blandford has been hired as a senior associate general counsel. Blandford has been with K-State on a term position since December 2023, and we are excited to have him onboard full time. Before joining K-State's legal team, Blandford spent 26 years in private practice in labor and employment and general civil litigation.
Erin Good has been promoted to senior associate general counsel from her previous role as associate general counsel. Good joined the Office of General Counsel in 2018. She earned her J.D. from Washburn University, where she graduated with dean's honors and served as managing editor of the Washburn Law Journal.
Samantha Jean will join the team starting June through the end of July as a summer associate intern. Currently she is a third-year law student at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and a proud graduate of Columbia University. We wish her a warm Wildcat welcome.
