Wildcat March Statue Auction this Friday; Tickets still available
The Wildcat March Auction will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the K-State Alumni Center. Registration and additional information is available online.
Kansas artists painted, adorned and decorated fiberglass wildcat statues as part of the 150th celebration, making each piece unique and rare. This auction allows K-Staters the opportunity to personally enjoy a wildcat statue and the 150th celebration for a lifetime. By purchasing a statue or other auction item, you are directly contributing funds for renewable scholarships for K-State students.
This is a chance for every K-Stater to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime event celebrating 150 distinguished years of the university as we auction pieces of art that have proudly been displayed around campus and the Manhattan community for the last eight months. Since its inception two years ago at a sesquicentennial steering committee meeting, the Wildcat March has proven to be an engaging, creative and expressive way to celebrate 150 years of accomplishments.
