Electric cars, smart grid and more: Electrical Power Affiliates Program day to feature experts, corporate representatives Sept. 11
All are invited to attend K-State's Electrical Power Affiliates Program day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the engineering atrium between Rathbone and Fiedler halls.
Corporate representatives from the program will be in attendance including: Burns & McDonnell, Fishnet Security, Kansas City Power & Light, Omaha Public Power District, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Sega and Westar Energy. Technical and human resources representatives from the companies will also be in attendance to discuss career opportunities and collaborations with university faculty and staff.
This year, Electrical Power Affiliates Program day will feature an early career engineers panel at 2 p.m. in Fiedler Auditorium. The panel will discuss challenges for graduates just entering the industry as well as challenges facing the industry in the next three to five years. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.
