Brad Kramer

Bradley Kramer, Ike and Letty Evans engineering chair, professor and head of the industrial and manufacturing systems engineering department, was elected a fellow by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, or IISE.

Kramer was honored at the organization's annual conference and expo earlier this year in Montreal along with 18 others. He has served as head of the industrial and manufacturing systems engineering department at K-State since 1993 and also co-founded the Advanced Manufacturing Institute, now known as the Technology Development Institute. He directed the group for more than 20 years and oversaw the transition into a completely soft-funded center that advances technology, people and businesses in Kansas and beyond. Kramer earned his bachelor's, master's and doctorate from K-State and began working for his alma mater in 1985 as an assistant professor.

Fellows must be at least 40 years old and a senior member of IISE for a minimum of 10 years to be eligible, in addition to demonstrating outstanding accomplishments professionally and through service to the field of industrial and systems engineering.
