Access government documents through K-State Libraries

Submitted by Ashley Nietfeld

Did you know that K-State Libraries has a curated collection to help you access government documents?

All documents published by federal, state and local governments and their agencies, are made freely and publicly accessible. This means that anybody can cite and use information and photos from government resources for personal or research projects without worrying about copyright.

K-State Libraries has developed a research guide and list of databases where interested parties can access government documents. Documents include, but are not limited to:

  • Papers from agencies such as the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Museum websites and photos.
  • Brochures for national parks.
  • Minutes from government meetings.

While most of the collection is digital, there are some physical items available.

If you have any questions about accessing government documents through our databases, please contact Dan Ireton at dli6873@k-state.edu.
