Tips to help students prioritize their health and well-being
Submitted by Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs
Mid-semester is a time when many students feel enhanced stress and anxiety. Making time for academic, financial, emotional, physical and mental well-being is as important now as it is ever. Campus resources from the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs can help students be their best selves — inside and outside the classroom.

- Take care of all your health needs at Lafene Health Center — Lafene Health Center offers comprehensive medical care, including a pharmacy, massage therapy, allergy injections, physical therapy, primary care visits and much more. - Attend individual or group therapy — If therapy seems like it might be a good fit for a student, they may want to check out Lafene Counseling and Psychological Services, or CAPS. Lafene CAPS offers individual goal-oriented therapy, group therapy, and workshops on a variety of topics. Students paying the student services fee get a limited number of free sessions! Schedule a same-day or next-day initial appointment at k-state.edu/counseling.
- Take home nutritious, culturally appropriate food from Cats' Cupboard — K-State's campus food pantry, Cats' Cupboard, is K-Staters spot for fresh, nutritious food, personal hygiene items and pantry supplies. - Problem-solve tough challenges with case managers — Some challenges are difficult to navigate on alone. Student Support and Accountability case managers are here to help. This non-clinical approach focuses on what students can accomplish to find success. Students can get help identifying solutions and developing skills, no matter what challenges they may be experiencing. Schedule an appointment at k-state.edu/student-support.
- Find advocacy and support in the CARE Office — The Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education provides confidential, free and voluntary services and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual harassment. In CARE, students will get assistance understanding and navigating university policies and procedures, and support in promoting survivors' academic success and personal wellness.
