Water rights database now available through K-State Libraries

Submitted by Ashley Nietfeld

K-State Libraries has secured access to a new research resource for student, faculty and patron use.

HeinOnline Water Rights and Resources is a database making state, federal and tribal water laws in the United States and the resulting water rights documents easier to locate. The database includes U.S. Congressional documents, Government Accounting Office reports, reports and documents from U.S. states, books on the topic, Supreme Court briefs and many other additional water rights resources.

Documents can be searched or browsed by title, author, date and subject within the resource. Topics involving water are wide-ranging and include the Clean Water Act, dams and hydropower, drinking water, drought and water scarcity, floods and flood control, groundwater, irrigation, the U.S. military, water management and much more.
