Stay on track this semester and plan ahead with campus resources

As the end of the semester creeps closer, the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs is here to help you stay on track and plan for the coming academic year. Taking proactive steps now will pay off in the future.

• Touch base with your academic advisor — If you have not already met with your academic advisor this semester, now is the time to do so. Advisors help students establish academic and career goals and guide them through courses and activities to help them achieve those goals. Students are required to meet with their advisor once per semester. Make the most of your visit by planning ahead. Learn more by visiting k-state.edu/dassa.
• End fall semester on a strong note with on-demand success tools — Download and use a suite of independent resources for navigating your academic life at K-State, courtesy of the Academic Achievement Center. With resources to aid in finals prep, fighting procrastination or improving study skills, there's a tool to help you finish the semester strong. Visit k-state.edu/aac to access all tools.

Now is also a great time to begin planning ahead for the 2025-2026 academic year. Securing housing and completing financial aid applications early helps set you up for future success.

• Learn more about on-campus living options and save the date for the Housing Contract Webinar — On-campus living is not just for first-year students! Whether you want to live in the residence halls again, are exploring living in the Jardine Apartments on campus, or are looking to live on campus for the first time, Housing and Dining Services can answer your questions. View the options available at housing.k-state.edu and mark your calendars for the Housing Contract Webinar on Dec. 3.
• Understand lease agreements and tenet rights and responsibilities — If living off campus is the best option for you, consider visiting with Student Legal Services and Off-Campus Housing Support. Get help reviewing and understanding lease agreements and better understand the rights and responsibilities of tenets and landlords.
• Secure Fraternity or Sorority housing — If you are in a fraternity or sorority and wish to live in your chapter's housing, it's important to secure space now. Visit k-state.edu/fsl or contact greeklife@k-state.edu to learn more about the process.
