Recipients of 2024 Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning Award named
The Phi Kappa Phi honor society is recognizing the outstanding Kansas State University individuals who received a 2024 Love of Learning Award.
Love of Learning Awards help fund post-baccalaureate professional development for active Phi Kappa Phi members to include, but not be limited to: Graduate or professional studies, doctoral dissertations, continuing education, career development, travel related to teaching/research/learning, etc. One hundred fifty-five awards, at $1,000 each, are distributed each year.
K-State recipients include Emmanuel Jeje, graduate student in leadership communication; Roselle Barretto, graduate student in biological and agricultural engineering; Rania Marie Buenavista, graduate student in grain science; Abena Damuah, graduate student in agricultural economics; Kelechi Igwe, graduate student in biological and agricultural engineering; Endy Lopes Kailer, graduate student in agronomy; Ikenna Onyekwelu, graduate student in biological and agricultural engineering; Sabita Ranabhat, graduate student in entomology; and Jack Sytsma, graduate student in biology
"The Kansas State chapter for Phi Kappa Phi is honored to recognize these outstanding individuals who embrace the values of the honor society," said Shawna Jordan, chapter president. "We look forward to seeing their success as graduate students."
Phi Kappa Phi is unique among academic honor societies in that it recognizes scholarship in all academic disciplines, not focusing on specific fields. The society's values are conveyed of its motto: "Let the love of learning rule humanity."
