Holocaust exhibit dedicated today
An opening ceremony for the exhibit, “The World Knew: Jan Karski’s Mission for Humanity” will be at 4 p.m. today on the second floor of Hale Library. The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and reception.
The exhibit is dedicated to the life of Jan Karski, a diplomat, Polish World War II resistance fighter and eyewitness to the German Nazi atrocities in the death camps located in Poland. The exhibit is on loan from the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago and will be on display until late October.
The ceremony coincides with another event, the performance of “Life in a Jar,” a play written about another hero of the Holocaust, Irena Sendler. The performance will be at 2 p.m. in the Little Theatre at the K-State Student Union.
