Benefit concert at Bluestem Bistro Nov. 15
The Coalition, a student organization, is hosting a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Bluestem Bistro to raise money to rescue a North Korean refugee.
Many people escape from North Korea but must remain in hiding and can't relocate until they have enough money to resettle. It takes $2,500 to resettle a refugee, so that is the benefit concert's goal.
The concert features local musicians and a suggested donation at the door — just give what you can.
The Coalition discusses social issues around the world and endorses events to promote social justice.
