Local Habitat for Humanity award to Buyle
Ray Buyle, assistant professor of architectural engineering and construction science, has received a Significant Service Award from the Manhattan area Habitat for Humanity organization.
Buyle led K-State's student chapter of the Associated General Contractors on a Habitat for Humanity home-building project in Ogden that was completed last November. The K-State Habitat for Humanity student chapter, for which Buyle also serves as faculty adviser, was involved in the Ogden project as well.
He accompanied both groups on an alternative spring break project last March to Goldsboro, North Carolina, where they assisted with the construction of three Habitat for Humanity homes.
Buyle is a member of the building committee for Manhattan Habitat for Humanity.
