Student chapter of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing to meet April 1

The Kansas State University student chapter of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, or ASPRS, will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in 164H Seaton Hall.

Following a general membership meeting, a research presentation will be made by Douglas Goodin, professor of geography and director of the Remote Sensing Research Laboratory. Goodin will discuss his work involving spectroscopy and multivariate analysis.

The society was founded in 1934 and is a scientific association serving thousands of professional members around the world. Its mission is to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping sciences to promote the responsible application of photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, and supporting technologies.
