Freshmen needed for a nutrition and health study
You may be eligible to participate in a new nutrition and health study beginning this semester. This study is designed to help college freshmen improve dietary intake, increase physical activity and improve overall stress management. As part of the study you will be asked to complete a few online surveys and come in for some physical measurements like height, weight and blood pressure, but you can come with your new friends to win prizes and eat free food while you're there. But best of all, you will have the opportunity to earn $75 for a total of only four hours of your time.
All first-year students have an equal opportunity, but only the first 225 people that are eligible can participate. If you are interested, the first step is to visit the Fruved.com website and take the survey and check your eligibility. If you are eligible, one of our staff members will contact you and help you proceed further. We would greatly appreciate your participation and believe it will be a benefit to you and other college students' future health.
This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at Kansas State University No. 7257. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Rick Scheidt, chair of research involving human subjects, at rscheidt@k-state.edu or 785-532-3224; or Tandalayo Kidd, principal investigator in the human nutrition department, at martan@k-state.edu or 785-532-0154.
