'Basic Telephone Training' available online
Submitted by Human Capital Services-Learning and Development
"Basic Telephone Training" is available online to all K-State employees. Whether you work the front line in an office, serve as a full-time faculty member, or are a student employee in an office, you could benefit from this training. Online basic telephone training is an introductory course to increase your understanding of handling telephone calls in the workplace.
It is important to be positive and professional during all communications when representing K-State. In order to effectively answer the telephone, you must develop communication skills and accuracy, know how to handle difficult calls, and provide excellent customer service. The training consists of four main modules: answering the phone, recording accurate phone messages, phone etiquette and using positive voice inflection.
Employees who participate in the training will be asked to sign in with their K-State eID and password to allow the training session to be recorded on their HRIS training summary. Send questions regarding the training to Learning and Development in Human Capital Services at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu.
