"The Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel, Book One: Target Earth" comes to McCain Auditorium on Friday, Sept. 21.
This mash-up of radio drama and comic books features three actors voicing dozens of characters, hundreds of live sound effects, keyboard scores and more than 1,250 full-color, hand-drawn comic book images projected on a two-story high screen. The result is a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience that the whole family can enjoy.
"The Intergalactic Nemesis" is set in the year 1933 and is inspired by "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Star Wars" and the pulp serials of the 1930s. It has been featured on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and NPR's "All Things Considered."
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $11-$50 with applicable taxes and fees, and can be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office or by calling 785-532-6428. They can also be purchased online at www.k-state.edu/mccain.
