Meeting to discuss Marlatt Avenue extension east of Manhattan
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Relief from traffic congestion may be in the near future for K-Staters who live east of Manhattan and travel U.S. Highway 24 to get into the city.
Pottawatomie County will be conducting a public open house meeting from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Green Valley Community Center, 3770 Green Valley Road, Manhattan. The meeting has been scheduled to obtain public feedback on a conceptual route study completed by SMH Consultants of Manhattan to possibly extend Marlatt Avenue eastward.
Displays identifying potential routes will be available for the general public to view. In addition, members of the study team will be available to answer questions, take comments and discuss the proposed project in greater detail.
Pottawatomie County encourages all those who frequently travel the US‐24 corridor to and from Manhattan to attend this open house meeting and provide comments to the SMH team.
