Search for interim vice president for administration and finance begins as Shubert announces move to athletics

Vice President for Administration and Finance Bruce Shubert has moved forward his retirement date to Oct 12. Shubert will become an employee of K-State Athletics as the assistant athletic director for business operations.
Shubert also announced his resignation from several boards he serves on as part of his current position, including K-State Athletics Inc. Shubert applied for the new position using standard processes and will receive a salary that lies within the advertised range.
A search for an interim vice president for administration and finance is being led by Jackie Hartman, the university's chief of staff and director of community relations. Members of the team include Casey Lauer, director of energy and environmental programs; Ronnie Grice, assistant vice president of public safety and university police chief; Gary Leitnaker, associate vice president for human resources; Fran Willbrant, assistant vice president for financial services; Tom Vontz, associate professor of curriculum and instruction; Greg Lohrentz, senior vice president for finance and administration at the KSU Foundation; Mike Holen, professor in the College of Education; and Alycia McClarty, Student Governing Association.
Jeff Morris, vice president for the Division of Communications and Marketing, will continue to lead the search for Shubert's permanent successor.
