It's a challenging time; Counseling Services may help
Counseling Services is here to help!
During this challenging time, Counseling Services wants K-Staters to know they are here for the K-State Family. While they will not able to meet face-to-face, therapists are available to talk on the phone to offer support and resources for students. Check out Counseling Services' website for links to live virtual workshops focusing on coping skills and emotional well-being.
Further, Counseling Services is committed to meeting the needs of as many people as possible, as they consider access to care a social justice issue. However, there are limitations. Therapists are only licensed to practice in Kansas, meaning they cannot provide on-going therapy — telemental health or otherwise — to students outside of Kansas. But, they can provide a phone consultation to a student who is located in another state and would benefit from local therapy options.
For students who requested services before spring break, a representative will be in contact in the next couple of weeks to check-in, brainstorm and find solutions for potential challenges.
