Kansas State College Advising Corps hosting information session for potential fall 2021 advisers

Submitted by Meaghan Higgins

Kansas State College Advising Corps will host a virtual information session at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, for candidates interested in learning more about how to serve for the 2021-2022 school year.

Comprised of both in-person and virtual advising models, KSCAC hires recent college graduates to serve as college advisers who support students and families with the postsecondary planning process. In this full-time role, advisers:

  1. Help students and their families see college completion as an attainable goal.
  2. Provide information to students/families about college planning, applications, and financial aid processes.
  3. Increase college enrollment among students in collaborating schools, particularly among first-generation-college, low-income, and underrepresented students, and provide them with the knowledge and tools to persist and graduate from college.

Learn more about KSCAC and sign up for the information session at linktr.ee/kscac.
