Peer coach, tutor and communications positions available for fall 2022
Submitted by Student Success and the Academic Achievement Center
The Academic Achievement Center is hiring peer coaches, tutors and a communications coordinator for fall 2022.
Peer coaches work one-on-one in the center's Learning Lab to support students in the development of tools, skills and dispositions for academic and personal success. Peer coaches will gain experience not only working with fellow K-State students in service of their goals but also share invaluable professional and leadership development that will take place throughout the year.
Peer tutors facilitate the learning process outside of formal classroom structures and focus on the success of the learning process. They are a vital part of many K-State students’ academic careers. Peer tutors are needed for a variety of courses and one tutor may hold several tutoring sessions a week in a variety of courses.
The communications coordinator develops and maintains the Academic Achievement Center's social media calendar and oversees the collaboration with and education of faculty and students to promote the Office of Student Success and its programs.
If you have a student in mind, or a group of students who you believe would be interested in this opportunity, please share the application and position descriptions that can be found on the AAC website. All applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, but the priority deadline is Tuesday, April 19, for peer coaches.
