College of Education celebrates Month of the Military Child
April is the Month of the Military Child and the Kansas State University College of Education is recognizing and celebrating resilient military-connected children with several events from April 11-15.
On Monday, April 11, and Tuesday, April 12, the college connected with military children and shared their meaningful stories on the college's social media platforms. On Tuesday, the college shared its recent military initiative hot topics, which can be great sources of information and resources for military children and families.
On Wednesday, April 13, the college is joining in on the fun with Block B K-2 Literacy through a Zoom visit with Charlee Clinesmith and Ivory Beins at Ware Elementary on Fort Riley. Suzanne Porath, K-State assistant professor of curriculum and instruction, will provide an interactive read on the branches of the military.
On Thursday, April 14, join the college from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Bluemont Hall’s first-floor lobby for delicious treats, important information and resources, a photo booth and fun swag.
Finally on Friday, April 15, college representatives will visit Oliver Brown Elementary School in Manhattan with Willie the Wildcat and recognize the school's military-connected children.
